Built by a Kinnauri family, run by hands that know these mountains by name.
Kalpa Biz Resort began as a family home built by our grandparents on ancestral land in Chini village. In 2015, we opened its doors to travellers who were looking for more than a hotel — people who wanted to wake up inside the mountain, not next to it.
Every stone in the walls was quarried within a kilometre. Every beam of deodar was cut and cured the way it has been for generations in Kinnaur. Our kitchen still follows recipes from our grandmother's diary. Our staff are almost entirely from surrounding villages — Chini, Roghi, Pangi and Telangi.
We are a small property by design. Eighteen rooms means eighteen conversations, eighteen breakfasts remembered by name, eighteen chances to send someone home with a piece of Kinnaur in their pocket.

Local hires, local produce, local materials — the resort is a part of the village economy, not apart from it.
We encourage long stays. The mountains reveal themselves over days, not hours.
No televisions in rooms. Real fires. Handloom linens. Star-lit terraces.
Solar water heating, minimal single-use plastic, and community-led guided walks.
